The Cheeknomicron

An artifact like a small telescope, crowded with dials and gears; it powered the Chickens' moon laser, was sent to Earth by Chief Kwimpala, and was kept secret by Bentworthe. It is rumored to be on Earth still.
In form the Cheeknomicron is something like a small telescope, though no ordinary one: its barrel is crowded with dials and gears and twisting parts, and what they all do is not recorded.
It is the artifact the Rumps sought in The Fall of Neith. Their primary objective was to annihilate the Chickens of Neith and claim the moon for their own; however, they also sought the Cheeknomicron. As the RF-9 bore down on the moon, Chief Kwimpala and a band of brave Chicken-warriors used it to power a decommissioned surface-to-space moon laser against the RF-9.
At the last, Kwimpala carried it off Neith in a ship and cast it toward Earth in a capsule, so that the Rumps would never have it; he was killed by Rumpish forces on that mission. On Earth the capsule was recovered by Marcus Aurelius Chamberlain Bentworthe, who kept it secret.
Where the Cheeknomicron lies now is unknown. It is rumored to be on Earth still, and for that reason Earth Ops has never stopped watching the planet.
