The Solar System is the Sun and the bodies that orbit it, among them Venus, Earth, and Saturn. It lies in the Milky Way. Neith orbited Venus within it until its capture in 1777 AD.

The Sun holds nearly all of the system's mass. Around it turn eight planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars, small and rocky, nearest in; then the giants Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Their moons, and a great many lesser bodies, turn with them.

In the years of the sightings of Neith, only six planets were known, all of them visible to the naked eye. The seventh, Uranus, was found in 1781 AD by William Herschel, four years after The Fall of Neith.
